ONLINE THERAPY FOR WOMEN WHO CARRY IT ALL IN CALIFORNIA

Everyone Counts on You.
But Who Takes Care of You?

You’re the dependable one. The problem-solver. The person everyone calls when something needs to be handled.

You keep everything moving—even when you’re running on empty.

You can care deeply for the people you love without carrying everything for them.

Virtual therapy for women throughout California.

DOES THIS FEEL FAMILIAR?

You’ve Learned How to Carry Everyone.

You Haven’t Learned How to Put It Down.

You may be so used to taking care of everything that you don’t realize just how much you’re carrying.

9

Everyone comes to you.

You’re the person people call for advice, help, reassurance, or solutions.

You anticipate everyone’s needs.

You’re always thinking ahead and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Asking for help feels uncomfortable.

It often feels easier to handle things yourself than rely on someone else.

You feel responsible for how others feel.

When someone is struggling or disappointed, you immediately wonder how to make it better.

Your needs keep getting postponed.

Someone or something always seems to need your attention first.

You’re exhausted—but you keep showing up.

Even when you’re depleted, you keep going because people are counting on you.

You can love the people in your life and still be tired of carrying so much for them.

UNDERSTANDING THE PATTERN

You Were Never

Meant to Carry It All

Maybe you learned early to notice what everyone else needed before anyone asked what you needed.

Being responsible kept things running. Being strong helped others feel safe. Being dependable made you feel needed.

But what once helped you feel safe or connected may now make it difficult to ask for help, set boundaries, or let others carry their share.

Therapy can help you understand why caring became carrying—and learn that you don’t have to hold everything alone.

You can care without carrying it all.

WHEN DOING MORE ISN’T THE ANSWER

What if everything didn’t

You automatically take responsibility.

QUESTIONS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I’m carrying too much?

You may feel responsible for everyone, struggle to say no, rarely ask for help, or feel constantly depleted. Therapy can help you recognize what’s yours to carry—and what isn’t.

Isn’t taking care of people I love a good thing?

Absolutely. Caring becomes a problem when it consistently requires you to ignore your needs, exceed your limits, or take responsibility for others.

Why is it so hard for me to ask for help?

If you’re used to being the dependable one, receiving support can feel vulnerable or unfamiliar. Therapy can help you make more room for both giving and receiving.

Will setting boundaries make me selfish?

No. Boundaries allow you to care for others without continually abandoning yourself.

What if people are disappointed when I stop doing so much?

Others may need time to adjust when you change a familiar role. Their disappointment doesn’t automatically mean you’ve done something wrong.

Can therapy help me stop feeling responsible for everyone?

Yes. Therapy can help you separate caring about someone from being responsible for their emotions, choices, or well-being.
