It's Time to Come Home to Yourself

You've always been the strong one—the one everyone depends on.

The part of you that learned to put others first, keep the peace, or carry more than you should is still trying to protect you today.
Those survival patterns can show up as anxiety, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, relationship challenges, or grief and loss.

Healing begins when you understand where those patterns started, reconnect with your inner child, and build healthier relationships—with yourself and the people you love.

Your story doesn't have to end where your survival began.

Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I'm Gloria.

I'm Gloria Osborne-Sheeler, LCSW, a First-Generation Afro-Latina therapist, proud Panameña, providing online therapy throughout California for women ready to heal childhood wounds, overcome anxiety, set healthier boundaries, navigate grief and loss, and build stronger relationships through inner child healing.

You don't have to keep carrying it all alone. Because healing isn't about becoming someone different—it's about coming home to yourself.

If you've spent years putting everyone else's needs before your own, carrying the weight of family expectations, or feeling guilty every time you choose yourself, you're not alone.

For more than 15 years, I've helped women heal the childhood patterns that often show up as anxiety, people-pleasing, relationship challenges, grief, and difficulty setting boundaries.

As the daughter of immigrants, I understand how cultural expectations and family dynamics can quietly shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others. My approach blends trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based therapy to help you reconnect with yourself, break free from old patterns, and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting Started

What is therapy like with you?

Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique story, experiences, and goals. Together, we'll gently explore the deeper patterns beneath anxiety, relationship challenges, people-pleasing, grief, or childhood wounds while building practical tools that support lasting healing and emotional well-being. My approach integrates trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based therapies to help you reconnect with yourself and create meaningful, lasting change.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in recurring patterns, struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, or finding it difficult to prioritize yourself, therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand what's happening beneath the surface and create lasting change. You don't have to wait until life feels overwhelming to benefit from therapy.

What if I've never been to therapy before?

Many of my clients are beginning therapy for the first time. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and I'll guide you through the process every step of the way. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin—therapy is a space to explore, heal, and grow together.

Can therapy really help heal childhood wounds?

Yes. Many of the patterns we experience as adults—including people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, difficulty setting boundaries, and relationship struggles—can be rooted in early life experiences. Through Inner Child Therapy, we'll gently explore where those patterns began, heal them at the root, and help you build healthier relationships with yourself and the people you love.

What is Inner Child Therapy?

Inner Child Therapy helps you understand how early life experiences continue to influence the way you think, feel, and relate to yourself and others today. Together, we'll explore the deeper patterns beneath anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, relationship challenges, grief, and difficulty setting boundaries so you can heal the root of those experiences—not just manage the symptoms.

Do you only work with Latina and First-Gen Women?

While I have specialized experience supporting Latina and First-Gen Women, I welcome women from all backgrounds who resonate with my approach and are seeking compassionate, culturally responsive, evidence-based therapy. My goal is to create a space where every woman feels seen, understood, and supported.

How does online therapy work?

All sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home anywhere in California. Before your first appointment, you'll receive a secure link with simple instructions to join your session. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable talking.

Do you offer therapy in Spanish?

Yes. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish, allowing you to express yourself in the language that feels most natural and comfortable. Whether you're bilingual or simply feel more at ease speaking one language, sessions can be tailored to your needs.

How often should I attend therapy?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions because consistency creates the strongest foundation for healing and meaningful progress. As you move toward your goals, we'll regularly evaluate your needs together and adjust the frequency of sessions based on what best supports your continued growth.

Do you accept insurance?

Glow In Therapy is a private pay practice, allowing me to provide personalized, high-quality care without many of the limitations often required by insurance companies. This means your therapy is guided by your unique needs and goals—not insurance requirements.

Payment is due at the time of each session.

If you have a PPO insurance plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement depending on your specific benefits. I'm happy to provide a superbill and guidance to help you submit claims for possible reimbursement.

For additional flexibility, Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are accepted as forms of payment.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, are subject to the full session fee. This policy helps protect your reserved appointment time while allowing opportunities for other clients who may be waiting for care.

How long does therapy last?

Every healing journey is unique. Some clients come to therapy for support through a specific challenge or life transition, while others choose longer-term therapy to heal childhood wounds, strengthen relationships, and create lasting emotional change. We'll regularly review your goals together and tailor the process to your unique needs and progress.

How do I get started?

The first step is scheduling your free 20-minute consultation. This is a chance for us to connect, discuss what brings you to therapy, answer your questions, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit. If we decide to move forward together, we'll schedule your first session and begin your healing journey.
